The Consulting Arborist Society was formed in 2003 <br> from the Arboricultural Mortgage Insurance Users Group (AMIUG) as a vehicle by which consultants accredited to this could <br>promote their services. Since then, it has expanded to <br>recognise eight Areas of Professional Competency.

We recognise that whilst some consultants provide a <br>comprehensive service covering all disciplines within arboriculture, many choose to specialise within a smaller field. Some are developing their skills and are working to become accredited within the wider field. This means that some consultants offer skills not yet accredited by CAS.
